01Who we are

AI Ghost Writer is operated by Operation Silo LLC ("we", "us", "our") at aighostwriter.co and aibookauthor.com (the "Service"). This policy applies to the Service and to our related emails and text messages. For questions, contact us at info@aighostwriter.co.

02What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and optionally your mobile number.
• Your book content: your idea and answers during the book-planning conversation, outlines, writing samples you provide for voice matching, files and web links you attach as research, your edits, notes, character chat conversations, and uploaded images.
• Purchase details: the package you bought and your payment status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages to us: anything you send through our contact form, email or text messages.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and actions taken in the Service.
• How you found us: the website or ad that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example "utm" parameters), stored in a cookie for up to 90 days.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see Cookies & analytics.

03How we use it

• To create your book, covers and files, and to power the AI Editor and character chat;
• To run your account, process payments and payment plans, and provide support;
• To send you updates you've asked for, such as "your book is ready" emails and texts;
• To send marketing emails about our products, which you can unsubscribe from at any time;
• To understand how people use the Service and which of our marketing works, so we can improve both;
• To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

04Your book & AI providers

To write and edit your book, we send the relevant parts of your book content to the AI model providers that power the Service, currently Anthropic and OpenAI. They process it to generate the text and images you request and return the results to us. Under their commercial API terms, these providers do not use data submitted through their APIs to train their models.

We don't use your manuscript to train AI models, and we don't share it with other users.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they can use it:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).

06Cookies & analytics

We use cookies that are essential to the Service (for example, to keep you logged in and protect forms), a cookie that remembers how you found us, and analytics and advertising cookies from Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These help us understand how visitors use our site and measure whether our ads work, for example by counting sign-ups and purchases that come from an ad.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out tool and manage ad preferences in your Meta ad settings.

07Text messages (SMS)

Text messages are optional. We only text you if you give us your mobile number and check the box to receive texts, for example "text me when my book is done" or updates about your book. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchase.

• Message frequency varies with your activity. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, and HELP for help. You can also contact us at info@aighostwriter.co.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

08Emails

We send account emails (such as activation, receipts, and "your book is ready") that are part of the Service. We may also send helpful reminders and marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

09How long we keep it

We keep your account and books for as long as your account is open, so you can come back and download or edit them. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons.

10Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

11Your rights & choices

You can view and update your account details at any time. You can also ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct or delete it, or delete your account entirely;
• Stop sending you marketing emails or texts.

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states, the UK or the EU), you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We'll honor them, and we won't treat you differently for using them. To make a request, email info@aighostwriter.co from the address on your account.

12Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

13Changes & contact

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
